Fire safety inspections you can prove were done
Fix an NFC tag at each extinguisher, hose reel, alarm panel and fire exit. The inspector taps it, answers the checks and takes a photo — and a monthly inspection that has not been done is listed as overdue until it is.
Monthly checks slip
With a paper tag on each extinguisher, nobody notices the month an inspection was missed — until somebody asks.
Records scattered
Inspection cards on each item, a book in the office, a spreadsheet somewhere. Gathering them for a review takes days.
Was the inspector really there?
A tap at the extinguisher's own tag shows the inspection happened at that item, at that time.
How fire safety inspections work in Wilco
Each item gets an NFC tag and its own checks, set to be due monthly, quarterly or yearly. On a site walk the inspector taps each item; Wilco asks only the checks that are due.
- Only the checks due at that item are asked — monthly ones once a month
- Overdue inspections listed by item, with how many days late
- A "No" answer is marked bad, with the note and photograph
- A reason is required if an item cannot be inspected (e.g. room locked)
- Every record dated, with the inspector's name

Typical fire safety checks
Each one is set up in your browser: the question, the answer type, how often it is due and whether a photograph is needed.

Questions
Does Wilco replace a fire safety contractor?
No. Wilco records the routine visual checks your own staff or your contractor carry out, and makes them provable. Servicing and certification of equipment remain with your fire safety contractor.
How does it know a monthly check is due?
Each check has a frequency. Once answered in a month it is not asked again that month; if the month passes without an answer it is listed as overdue.
Can we see which extinguishers were not checked?
Yes. The Checks page lists every overdue inspection by item and how late it is, at the top of the page.
What if an item cannot be inspected?
The inspector chooses "Cannot do this one" and gives the reason — for example, the room was locked. It is recorded as skipped, not as passed.
Can the records be shown to building management or auditors?
Yes — download the checks report for any dates as a spreadsheet, with who did each check and when.

We will tag an extinguisher, run the monthly check with a phone and show you the overdue list.
